PRAYERS FOR RELIGIOUS AND MONASTIC VOCATIONS

Father, you inspire and bring to fulfilment every good intention.
Guide your people in the way of salvation and watch
over those who have left everything to give themselves
entirely to you.
By following Christ and renouncing worldly power and
profit, may they serve you and your people faithfully in
the spirit of poverty and humility. Amen.

Grant, Lord, that those whom you call to enter the
Priesthood or Religious Life may have the generosity to
answer your call, so that those who need your help may
always find it. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

It is in the silence of our hearts, O Lord, that your voice
calls us gently to turn from self-will and surrender to you
in our monastic vocation. We thank you for that hidden
gift and pray that many others may hear your call to
Monastic Life.
May your loving grace give us strength to persevere in St
Benedict's way of peace and to witness faithfully to the
truth and love of your kingdom.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Shepherd of souls,
who called the apostles to be fishers of men,
raise up new apostles in your holy Church.
teach them tha.t to serve you is to reign; to possess you is to possess all things.
Kindle' in the hearts of your children the fire of zeal for souls.
Make them eager to spread your kingdom upon earth.
Grant them courage to follow you, who are the Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen.

God our Father, your will is that the whole world
be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Send workers into your harvest that the Gospel
may be preached to every creature, and your
people, gathered together by the word of life and
strengthened by the power of the Sacraments, may
advance in the way of salvation and love.
