Dear Parishioners,
On Wednesday of this week we begin our observance of Lent. On Ash Wednesday, there are Masses, with Imposition of Ashes, at 9am at Cromer and 10.30am and 7pm at St Joseph's. Although Ash Wednesday is not a 'Day of Obligation', it is certainly a very good practice to attend Mass on this day and commend to God our observance of Lent.
Ash Wednesday is a Day of Fasting and Abstinence – on this day, we reduce the amount of food (and drink) we take ('Fasting') and we abstain from eating meat ('Abstinence')
With the News-sheet last weekend there was issued the full Parish Programme for Lent. If you did not get your copy then, please take one from the back of the church and keep it by you in the coming weeks.

Several more parishioners and friends of the Parish have joined in the past couple of weeks. Lists indicating the numbers allocated to date and the names of those to whom the numbers have been allocated have been posted on the Notice Boards at both churches. These will of course be up-dated as new members join the '100 Club'. The Draw for February will be made at Our Lady of Refuge after the 6am Mass next Saturday.
VISITORS TO OUR PARISH: You
are most welcome and we hope you enjoy your stay with us. We provide Gift Aid
envelopes for those visitors who normally use this method for their church
